Project
Hotel F6 is a place where no one leaves without a smile. Travelers are greeted with circus artwork on the walls of the lobby and along corridors. The heart of the hotel is the tranquil courtyard that offers guests a place to take a rest or have breakfast during the warm season. The hotel’s own greenhouse produces herbs for Bar Runar, a cocktail bar named after the hotel dog Runar, who is also pictured in the logo of the bar.
The house was formerly the property of the Ministry of the Environment and also a listed building, so repurposing it as a hotel was not an easy project. As a result, many of the building’s characteristics have been taken into account in a creative way. The gateways were turned as a reception and lobby, and the evergreen surface of the yard is created with artificial turf and rubbery safety platform which is commonly used in children’s playgrounds. Hotel F6 is a great example of not following the norm – it proves that a hotel can also be engaging and interesting!
